Creative Teacher Self-Care through SEAL (Social-Emotional Artistic Learning)

July 18, 2021 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am

YOU are the most important person in the classroom.  Believe it!  If you are not ready and energized to teach, then there is no way your students are going to learn.  In this workshop, we will look at creative ways to get in the right mindset, so you can do and be your best for your students.  Along the way, we will engage in SEAL (Social-Emotional Artistic Learning®) activities that integrate the social-emotional competencies with elements of music, visual art, drama and movement – activities you can use in your classroom too!

Elizabeth Peterson loves helping caring, creative teachers bring the arts practically and meaningfully into their classrooms.  An arts integration specialist with degrees in Arts, Leadership, and Learning, she hosts  Elizabeth is the creator of SEAL, Social-Emotional Artistic Learning: a unique and holistic method of integrating the arts with SEL.  She is in her 21st year of teaching and 15th year of hosting workshops, retreats, and online courses in arts integration and SEAL.   Elizabeth believes that when caring, creative teachers feel empowered in their classroom, they make a difference in their students’ lives every day.
