Join us on October 11, 2019, to enhance your professional understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
UDL is a framework for designing learning to remove barriers for all learners, wherever learning happens. In this workshop you will learn about UDL as a design process, creating the first steps towards applying it in your practice. You will reflect on variability and begin to plan to proactively meet the learner variability in your context. You will leave with tools and resources that allow you to continue to apply in the coming school year.
Niel Albero is a CAST Implementation Specialist working with school-based teams, across the country, to develop an understanding of the UDL framework and apply it to their content. As an educator for 20+ years, Niel has worked in Special Education, Middle School Mathematics and as an Instructional Coach. He is most passionate about the impact that learning about UDL has for teachers, empowering us all to be expert learners about our practice.
